Destin Florida ~ Summer 2008

We took the boys to Destin, Florida for a memory making vacation! They had the time of their life and so did we!

They found a hole and wanted to play in it!

We ate at our favorite restaurant ~ Pompano Joes, right on the beach and what a view! You have to sit on the balcony or right next to it. You can feel the cool ocean breeze while you eat! So relaxing!

Parker waiting for his food!

Preston waiting for his food and giving me some poses for the camera!

Shawn and Parker!

Me with Preston
Here are my favorite skater dudes!

We also ate at Fudpuckers! They have a live aligator pit and you can also get your picture made with an aligator... which has his mouth taped shut! We got one, but its on my desk at work!

This is not real, of course!

Preston swimming away at the Maravilla Resort!

Parker actually learned to swim this week and did really good. I think he will need to take swim lessons in 2009!

Looking for jelly fish, yeah, they were everywhere the last part of the week, so we didn't even go to the water a few days! ;(

Parker catching some water for his project!

We loved playing in the sand! It was so much fun!

Not the perfect portrait, but we tried! It was hot, sweaty and bright! No one wanted to co-operate, except mom and dad!

This is me and the boys. Instead of a kiss, it is more like trying to bite me! Ha! They are truely the joys of my life and without them and my husband, I am not complete!

Sick Family Day

We have sickness going on in our family today. I sometimes think God allows us to be sick to slow us down and make us rest. Shawn, Parker and myself are sick and Preston claims his runny nose makes him sick. The three of us are coughing, sneezing and stopped up. I hope this passes soon.

Easter is upon us as we reflect on the greatness of our savior... His unselfish gift He has given us. I try to explain to my almost 5 year olds the love of God and they almost get it, but doesn't quite register yet. I pray that they continue to ask questions and wonder about God and who made this and that. We tell them the workers, but God really made the stuff to make everything the workers use to make it.

I love the way children see things through their world. We all did at one time and when did we loose that, I guess when we so call mature into adulthood. I wish sometimes I could have the innocents of mind as they do.

I love my little family more each day!

"We will not hide these truths from our children... so the next generation might know them...and they in turn will teach their own children. So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting His glorious miralces and obeying His commands." Psalm 78-1-8

Dear God: May these truths be carried out as we continue to raise our little boys and continue a legacy of service and devotion to You! Amen
